Just a few things to brighten up your day – especially if you had enough of the modern, the glossy and the polished.

I came across Sandra Suy’s work quite recently; I just love fashion illustration (probably because I used to do a bit of it myself in a previous life); and Sandra’s work is sharp, and minimalistic, and beautiful.

This is what happens when one reads too many books about Hokusai an Hiroshige. One gets in the mood for drawing Mount Fuji. So here you go, a couple hour’s work, my Dawn over Mount Fuji illustration.

Just a couple of square earth images you can use for illustrating growth, or ecology, or environment-related concepts.

I have been playing with the Illustrator mesh tool for a while now, and I have to say the most difficult thing to vectorise is the human face. As such, I thought of making available some vector illustrations of eyes and mouths that you may find useful.

I’ve had this for a while now, it was fun creating it but I don’t really have a commercial use for it; so I’ll just make it available for free, as a vector.
