Whistling Straits Golf Course Logo

Hat tip to my husband for pointing this out to me – the first time something good came out of his incessant golf-watching. Because this logo is sheer awesomeness.
Unfortunately my attempts of finding out who the designer was have been unsuccessful – if anyone knows, would you drop me a line?

Versatile logo, eh?
I found out that this logo was mainly designed – concept wise – by the CEO of Kohler (the company who owns the Golf Course). He then gave it to his lead designer to make the concept come to life. No name was given but it appears it was an in-house job with Kohler. Great design and illustration — he has been dubbed ‘old man weather’ and his hybrid greenman apperance is outstanding. Great work.

Thanks a lot for the info, I wasn’t able to find out anything about it. Huh, so it was an in-house job. Wonder if I can find the name of the lead designer, should come up somewhere on their site…
