Logo Trends of 2010 (so far)
So it’s the middle of 2010 – time to review the first half of the year, draw conclusions and review strategies. I decided to ignore my personal life (always ignore inconvenient truths, I say) and focus on things that make me feel good. Such as logo design.
After much browsing on logopond and behance, this is what this year looks like in as far as logos are concerned. The source of all of most of these logos are of course logopond and behance; always great inspiration resources. I sneaked in a couple of mine too, for which I ask to be forgiven. Enjoy!
1. Rainbows
This one is big, I have seen so many logos playing with rainbow gradients recently.
2. Ambigrams
One of my faves, it takes so much cleverness to create an ambigram; and these are gorgeous.
3. Illustration
Again, this one comes and goes; this year is back, part of a larger trend for a more organic approach in identity and branding.
4.Negative Space
To be honest, not really a 2010 exclusive trend; it’s been around for donkey’s years. Still, I find it really picked up this year.
I’m sure I missed quite a few cool logos; feel free to drop a link in the comments area!
