About James Maxfield
Originally from Sydney, James has travelled the world extensively as a Dancer/Singer/Actor, working in Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, Manila and Japan, and also touring Australia numerous times. After Graduating in 2004 from The Brent Street School of Performing Arts, James went straight into Musical Theatre. After performing in Grease – The Arena Spectacular alongside John Farnham and Natalie Bassingthwaighte, he moved onto The Boy From Oz, working with the legendary Hugh Jackman and Chrissy Amphlett. Other theatre credits include Sweet Charity, Miss Saigon, Wicked and Alcina for Opera Australia.
In the commercial world, James has worked with Australian and International artists such as Delta Goodrem (ARIA AWARDS 2004), Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas (MTV AWARDS 2007) Kelly Clarkson (NRL GRAND FINAL 2004) , Guy Sebastian (“Out With My Baby” Film Clip) , Young Divas (Margi Gras Party 2007, L’Oreal Colour Awards Performance, “Searching” Film Clip) TV Rock (numerous music festivals) and Girlband (“Electric” Film Clip).
His television credits include Home and Away, Always Greener, All Saints, Farscape, Escape of the Artful Dodger and several TVCs including Coca Cola, Fox 8, Foxtel, Commonwealth Bank and Rydge’s Hotels. His Film credits include the hugely successful Happy Feet. James is currently Dance Captain in the Highly Successful Australian Production of Wicked, playing at the Capitol Theatre, Sydney.
