How to install the new Salesforce Plugin for WordPress

on May 4th, 2010

This is a demo on how to install, activate, and configure the WordPress-to-Lead for Salesforce CRM plugin. WordPress-to-Lead is a free WordPress plugin that let’s you easily create contact forms and publish them to your WordPress site or blog. What’s even better, is that WordPress-to-Lead automatically captures every lead and inquiry directly into Salesforce CRM.

WordPress is becoming a full fledged CMS; and Salesforce is nowadays the most frequently deployed CRM in the world due to its low costs and technical hassles. Finally they are starting to play together nicely with a new WordPress plugin created by Salesforce.

As a long time user and implementation consultant of both Salesforce and WordPress I find it quite a relief Salesforce has finally come up with this. Of course, you can always generate the lead form code manually and then style it with css (this is what I’ve done for years and worked just fine); still, this is way easier for the non-technical WordPress user.
