Carlos is a multi-faceted artist who has successfully made incursions into painting, illustration, comics, photography, animation and special effects. He finally decided that filmmaking was his medium of choice because it represented the coming together of the different forms of expression of his artistic universe.
He has written numerous short and feature films. Many of them have earned him international awards. In 2000 he was awarded the Georges Meliès Prize for his work “Les Amants”, and was sent to Paris to meet with large local production companies. His original artwork, editing and animation directing of “The Legend of the Scarecrow” earned the short film over 20 awards worldwide, and a pre-selection to the 2005 Oscar Academy Awards.
He is currently working freelance at the head of his team developing some of his new own projects. These include video clips, feature films and animation shorts.
And these are some of his works – carefully, lovingly crafted; heartwarming and occasionally heartbreaking; and altogether stunning.
